I love her music, I love her swagger, I loved meeting her at Atlantic and I love that she's making waves with a single on the New Moon soundtrack (Satellite Heart - check it out!)

10.27.09 - A life update, and some out-takes.

Hello internet world.

Well, I was inspired tonight by my friend Liz Abend to keep this blog updated.  I need to give you, all six of you that read this, some fresh stuff.  I decided that a life update is in order.

I am 8 weeks away from graduating college with my degree in Photo-Journalism.  The world is sitting on it's proverbial platter and I am filled with questions.

Where will I work?
What work do I want to do?
Are there any jobs...anywhere?

A bit stressful, but, at this point the search is on.  As you may be able to tell by the context of this blog, I want to work somewhere in the field of photography.  Anywhere will do right now.  Eventually, I want to move towards editorial and magazine portraiture.  Right now, the job market is saturated, which sucks.  But there is good news.

I'm ready to rally.

So here we are, at the cusp of the supposed "next step" of my life.  Well, I'm ready.  Let's go life.

10.27.09 - Paolo Nutini @ The Wilma

Paolo Nutini.

Scottish singer/songwriter/hero on the Atlantic Records label.  I had the opportunity to photograph his show at The Wilma this September.  It was an amazing show and his music is just incredible.  Here are some shots.

10.15.09 - Chelan, WA

Took a road trip last weekend with the boys to Chelan, Washington. Right in the middle of apple country, Chelan lies on the beautiful Lake Chelan and boasts some of the most phenomenal Estate Wineries in the country. Here are a few shots.

10.8.09 - Send Lawyers, Guns and Money

In preparation for my final fashion project of my college career, I decided to hit Missoula with two of my friends, Jake Griffith and Kyle Ballard, and do a test shoot.

The original inspiration came as I was brainstorming ideas in my living room with my iTunes on shuffle. The opening notes of the late Warren Zevon's hit "Send Lawyers, Guns, and Money" played from my laptop as the film Ocean's 11 played silently on the television. I immediately knew that I wanted to do a shoot that combined some elements from both the song and the film.

I called up the boys, "Grab your suits, grab your guns (unloaded, of course) and I'll pick you up when I get off of work."

We went up past Mansion Heights in the south side of Missoula and the following photos are what came of it.
